It is resistant to high temperatures up to 1400℉ and possesses robust thermal stability. The ROCKSHEAT stone is of excellent quality material (cordierite) and is made with food grade. It is burnt at a temperature of 2200℉ kiln and does not comprise of lead or any injurious substance. In addition to this it does not even have an odor. Our product is oven safe, can be used on a grill directly or used like a heat deflector. (But please keep in mind that the stone cannot be used in a microwave oven.) You are not required to do the seasoning. Refrain from using sauce, cheese, and oil straight to the pizza stone. This stone will be an excellent addition to your culinary experience. How to use and clean: In order to clean the stone, use a clean wet towel or you can wash directly under the water. Make sure you don't use detergent. Once it’s clean, let it dry. Fully preheat the stone to 500℉ before baking. For home oven, it may take 60 mins (depends on the performance of the oven). If using a grill, preheat to 500℉ may take about 30 mins. When the stone is hot enough to bake, dusts the pizza peel with cornmeal or other flour before putting the dough on it,and then transfer the pizza to the hot stone, baking for a few minutes until the pizza is brown nicely. When you are done baking, wipe the dough and cornmeal particles. If the need arises you can use a scraper that is flat to scrape the particles. After that, soak the pizza stone in warm water. Running the self-cleaning cycle of your oven or burning the stone directly on the burner will help clean the stone. Please don't place oil, sauce, cheese directly on the stone.
